At the time fans thought the Night King might be the same as the "Night's King" from the books, but the show never went too deep into the legends of the Nightfort either. They discussed the Rat Cook in S3, but never spoke about the how the Night's King and Corpse Queen ruled over the Nightfort and made sacrifices to the Others. 20. In the episode S08E03 of Game of Thrones, the plan of the defenders for vanquishing the Night King is to lure him near Winterfell using Bran for being able to approach him and kill him. It is well explained why the Night King wants to eliminate Bran: he wants to erase humans with all of their knowledge. Bran is the Three-Eyed Raven and as e. One Thousand and One Nights ( Arabic: أَلْفُ لَيْلَةٍ وَلَيْلَةٌ ʾAlf Laylah wa-Laylah) [1] is a collection of Middle Eastern folktales compiled in the Arabic language during the Islamic Golden Age. It is often known in English as the Arabian Nights, from the first English-language edition ( c. 1706–1721 ), which I personally would love to have the option to be The Night King, or a White Walker. Could potentially be a sub mod in the future once the white walkers are implemented, I remember there being a way to play as the white walkers in the ck2 mod by editing game files but there was no official option. Also there is no night king in the books so I

The sheer act of Rhaegar’s death—an object being plunged into the chest—directly parallels the creation of the Night King—with the dragonglass/glass candle being plunged into the man tied to the weirwood tree. It may be this parallel in death with related means which allowed for Rhaegar’s mind to be transferred.

Bran and the Night King have similar abilities. When Bran has a vision of the creation of the Night King, he writhes in pain at the point when Leaf plunges the dragonglass dagger into the First Man's heart. In explanation for why they created the Night King, Leaf explains that they were at war and needed protection.

Personally, I tend to believe that revenge would be more plausible since the way the Night King (the first Night Walker) was created. He was just a man, probably a soldier from the first men captured by the Children of the Forest. [EDIT] As commented below the wall was built after the Night King was created.
It turns out, the Night King in the books has several marked differences to the villain from the TV show. In the books, the character is known as the Night's King (with the added apostrophe-S), and his story is told only in legends passed down from one character to another. He's yet to be seen in a single scene in the books, so far.
So the Night King is dead. In Season 4, a scene absent from the books and invented for the show teased some clues about the Walkers’ creation. In Season 5, “Hardhome

(For the curious, the Night’s King of the books is the legendary 13th Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch. He fell in love with a mysterious, white-skinned, blue-eyed, ice-cold woman, declared

Bran follows Ned up the stairs, and the old 3ER pops up in front of him and puts his hand on his shoulder, waking him from the vision. So the theory is that Bran has failed to stop the NK before, so he goes and gets himself stuck back in time to try something new.
I think the Night King in the show is based on book-Euron. Borrowed: Taking a dragon (but via Victarion’s horn in the books) Crashing the wall (but via the horn Sam is carrying) Killing Bloodraven (though indirectly) The scene where Bran sees and is touched by the Night King is likely Bran meeting Euron in a «dream». Daenerys' brother Viserion certainly is not, and Daenerys proved it by essentially burning him to death. Jon Snow has sustained a small burn in his time. In fact, the fact that Daenerys is flame

The king who keeps the moon in the sky, the devil who infused me with the magic I despise almost as much as I hate him. But before I have a chance to stab my knife into his heart, my soul screams the one word that prevents me from ending him: Mate. Fate and its atrocious sense of humor have made the Night King the one person on the planet whose
